MOBO AWARDS
The Brief
After a live show hiatus of 2 years due to the pandemic, The MOBO Awards were ready to return to the stage in 2021. The Manual team were tasked with producing the biggest, and best awards show to date to help reinstate The MOBO Awards as the UK’s ultimate celebration of Black music and culture.
What we did
The MOBO Awards 2021 hosted in partnership with Coventry City Council and CBS in the Coventry Building Society Arena. We planned, built and managed the red-carpet entrance to the awards. Once inside, the 6000 strong audience – including 1500 VIPs – were treated to 8 individual live performances. We worked with each artist to create a definitive look, feel and sound for their performance. We also worked with broadcast partners to create a live stream so the award ceremony could be enjoyed by a YouTube audience simultaneously.
