Channel 4: 40 Years of 4
The Brief
Channel 4 was born in November 1982, so on November 2nd, 2022, it was their 40th Birthday! To celebrate 40 epic years of ground-breaking content, we were asked to produce a dinner to thank all of those who been involved in Channel 4’s rich history and will continue to shape their future. Not only did they want to show guests a good time, but also needed a venue and menu that was as entertaining and unexpected as their output.
What we did
The V&A was the perfect venue to host to this special night. The world of creativity in the heart of London felt more than appropriate for Channel 4’s Birthday celebration. The night begun in the exquisite Dome reception. Here, guests enjoyed 80’s themed canapés & ‘Channel Phwoar’ Cocktails. A large LED screen integrated seamlessly into the setting and showed heartfelt & funny C4 content through the years. Channel 4’s CEO Alex Mahon gave a speech and invited guests to enjoy a meal in the Raphael Gallery.
We transformed the gallery with 3 long tables dressed stunningly with ombre flowers & lamps in Channel 4’s iconic colours to complement the Raphael treasures on show. The ambiance of the room was elevated further by an orchestral trio playing modern pop songs with a classical twist during dinner. It really was a night to remember!
