DoorDash: Unexpected Reservations

The Brief

Create a bold, unexpected brand moment for DoorDash that would cut through culturally and physically. The idea was to bring the concept of “unexpected reservations” to life by building a fully functioning, life-size sandcastle restaurant in a high-profile public location, designed to generate real-world impact alongside social and press attention.

What we did

We delivered the project end-to-end across design development, venue sourcing, permitting, budgeting, logistics and build, working to an extremely compressed eight-week timeline. Collaborating closely across international teams and local authorities, we translated the creative idea into a complex, film-set-meets-restaurant experience, managing value engineering, on-site problem solving and live operational delivery to bring the sandcastle restaurant to life in the heart of Miami’s Design District.

Results: Brand Awareness up 31% (v’s 10% target) and visits driven by DoorDash marketing were 53,000+.
